Jim…Tia here, blogsultant. Getting started with blogging and how you do it will depend on what you want out of your blog. Is it to be a personal space? I’d recommend going to Wordpress.com and getting started with their very user-friendly set up, which is free. You’ll learn as you go to a large extent. If your blog is to be a business site, consider hiring someone to guide you or, if you are unsure about that step, get the book, “The Secret To Online persuasion”. It’s great, easy read that is very educational on blogging. I’d have titled it something with “blog” in the title! Also, talk to your blogging friends… it’s typically a very helpful community!
