We’re having a contest to get more bloggers involved. One of the participants suggested a prize of music lessons from Jana Stanfield…I’ll inquire. I’m also going to check with David Wilcox to see if we can get a music donation or perhaps lessons. I took some from him years ago before he “made it” in the folk world. We’ll confirm the prizes and contest rules soon. BTW, Make a Difference Day is having a contest too.

Last week was the mother of all travel weeks with trips to San Francisco, Las Vegas, Lansing, MI, and San Antonio. In each place something neat happened that is going to advance the “party”. In S.F. , I met a guy who is taking a group on a Voluntour trip to Nepal. He’s be joining the party and blogging while in Nepal. In Las Vegas, I found out about the great work Thrivent is doing with Habitat for Humanity and other charities. I spoke with a lady today in Michigan who attended a recent program and she has a stroke retreat when families get a respite from caring from their loving ones who have had a stroke. In San Antonio, I met a lady who used to work for Jimmy Carter who is on the WBBP “wish list” of participants. I’m hoping that I can get a connection with him. Stories keep coming and I keep thinking, “I wish there were more of me” and more Tia Grahams and Charles Brinkley’s to help. Thanks to you both for your work.
We’d love to get more bloggers involved in the project and need to add some people to the blog roll who are “party goers”. How can you help?
1. Write 5 friends a day for the next five days and invite them to participate.
2. Look on the web for other similar blogs that feature people doing good. Make a post there and refer them over.
3. Email suggestions of what tools you need to help spread the word. October 27th will soon be here.
Emails: Cbrinkley at chartertn.net to have your blog added to the blog roll and info at theworldsbiggestblogparty.com to have your organization added. 23 days and counting till the kick off…
