Two new efforts
I received two emails in the last few days from people that I think are great examples of what the the WBBP is all about! It is so cool to see the different ways people are making good things happen all over the world:
On the 28th of November 50people from my Helpcentre are going to climb Ben Nevis the highest mountain in UK. The money raised will be used for a Youth Project in Peckham one of the worst citities in London in terms of gun and knife killings, violence, gangs, use of drugs and anything you can imagine. Check out my website www.justgiving.com/
I run a non-profit, Blossom International, in Manasquan, N.J.; we’re an all volunteer non-profit whose mission is to inspire humanity to make a difference by implementing programs that increase understanding and kindness, or how I like to put it, simply promoting empathy and compassion through action.I came across your idea for The World’s Biggest Global Party and was intrigued. Blossom International is currently organizing a Family Volunteer Day event where we will create 400 of our Care Packs for foster care children.
We will also be offering our Blossom Shop to an agency that serves clients in need on Make a Difference Day. Community service, instilling the value of true worth over material worth and a sense of a greater global community are all goals of our organization.
Tim notes: They are both invited to participate in the WBBP as are you!
